Step-By-Step Instructions
1. Fins (Make 4)
- Round 1: Start with green yarn. Create a magic ring and work 6 single crochets (sc) into the ring. (6 stitches)
- Round 2: Work 1 increase (inc) into every stitch (2 sc in each stitch). Mark the first stitch with a stitch marker. (12 stitches)
- Round 3: [1 sc, inc] Repeat this sequence around. (18 stitches)
- Round 4: Work 1 sc in each stitch all the way around. (18 stitches)
- Finishing the Fin:
- Pull the magic ring tightly closed.
- Fold the work in half.
- Crochet through both layers to close the fin: Insert your hook through the first and corresponding stitch of both layers, then slip stitch/crochet through both layers. Repeat until the fin is closed.
- Cut off the yarn but leave no long tail as sewing is not needed.
- Repeat this process to create 4 identical fins.

2. Head
- Round 1: Using green yarn, create a magic ring and work 8 single crochets into the ring. (8 stitches)
- Round 2: Work 1 increase in every stitch. (16 stitches)

- Cut off the yarn, leaving a long tail for later use. The shell base is now complete.

4. Flower Petals
- Using pink yarn, begin working into the top loops of the shell base.
- First Stitch: Insert the hook, pull up a loop, chain 1, and work:

- 1 hdc
- 3 dc in the next stitch
- 1 hdc in the next stitch
- 1 slip stitch
- Repeat the petal pattern all the way around:
